“You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.”- Winston Churchill.Fundraising is a concept that is not strange to many of us; it’s basically a form of raising money towards a given cause. There are newer more popular ways coming up which a volunteer can use to fundraise; one of them is online fundraising. Fundraising through online websites is a way for you as a volunteer to get more money, and people involved. It also helps you to build a network of well wishers and donors to your cause. There are a number of websites that can help you to do your fundraising online. A brief description is provided below.

The first website we will look at is Crowdrise empowers online fundraisers to reach out to their friends, family, classmates, co-workers and other members of the Crowdrise community. Crowdrise’s online fundraising tools allow you to tell your story using compelling photos and videos to connect with your supporters. You can also share your projects with everyone you know by sending them a link to your project page via email, Facebook and Twitter. All you need to do is create your own personalized Profile Page. Your profile is meant to showcase everything you’re doing as an online fundraiser and volunteer.

Another website you can look out for is Give2gether was founded in 2007, and to date it has enabled various Non Profit organizations to successfully raise funds for various purposes. The process here is quite simple; the first step for you on this website is to customize your web page. Through clicking on the icons provided, you can upload your organization’s logo, and then add a text of what you want to go with your main image.

The next step is for you to upload your donors’ details, and then set up your introductory email announcing the campaign to existing donors. This will enable you to get the word out there of your cause, as your donors will start to reach out to their own networks. Once this is done then you only need to give your donors a thank you note, and get your fundraising on the way. Don’t forget to put a link to your website on your fundraising page. So that donors have proper access to you.

Conca de Barbera

Conca de Barbera is located in the back-country of Barcelona and may be a pleasant surprise when you get there. It is a green zone with hills. Conca de Barbera is a great place to get a rest from the crowded and noisy city! Here you can see beautiful woodland and a lovely medieval town, which stands out with its monasteries and villages and one that is especially fascinating is the monastery of Poblet.

Costa Brava

Costa Brava or the White Coast is located between Blanes, which is about 60 kilometers from the city of Barcelona, and the French border. Although actually there are some places you shouldn’t choose for a nice rest on the coast of Mediterranean sea, Costa Brava also offers some great places. If you go by car (which can be rented) you can choose the place you like the most.It would be the best to stay over for a night. And it is notable that it is not always possible to find night’s shelter at the last moment, especially during the summer months, so you should better make sure to find it early enough.

Figueres

This place is notable with the Theater-Museum of Salvador Dali, which is created by the great artist himself. He was born in this town and loved it, so this is a perfect place you should go to if you are interested in the art of Salvador Dali.

Girona

It is located near the French border. It has a really stunning old city with narrow ancient streets.

Montserrat

If you want to get to know Catalan culture, you really should go to Montserrat, which is a strong symbol of Catalonians. What is also great is that it is just 40 kilometers from the city of Barcelona, and that would be a nice thing to visit the nearest towns, once you go to Barcelona.

Sitges

Sitges is a very popular resort place to visit for both locals and tourists. Here you can find a wonderful nightlife, amazing white-sand beaches (and some of the few nude beaches near Barcelona) and opportunities to do sports. It has been well-known as anything-goes town since the end of 19th century.

Tarragona

Tarragona is a stunning province with an amazing architecture and beaches with soft white sand and deep blue water. This is a great small city for having a wonderful free time.
